Né en 1957 ! C'était un jeudi, à l'époque le jour de la semaine sans classe ....

Mes premières armes photographiques vers 11 ans, avec des argentiques (évidemment) divers : Minox, comme dans les films d'espionnage (ah, cet armement en fermant et ouvrant tout l’appareil ...) et Foca, tout ça en manuel avec un posemètre obligatoire. Cela apprend les règles de l'exposition et de la profondeur de champ. Puis Fuji et Nikon, avec le règne des semi-automatiques et des automatiques dont je reste peu friand. Priorité à l'ouverture essentiellement, sauf pour les animaux quand la vitesse peut primer. Ou alors pour des effets spéciaux.

Ensuite, un grand blanc, près de 10 ans sans photo, si ce n'est un jetable de temps en temps.

Enfin, le temps du numérique (Minolta, Sony, Canon) et ses prodiges de postproduction. Mais franchement, il vaut mieux s'appliquer à prendre une bonne photo dès le départ qu'à l'améliorer sur ordinateur.

Questions : ne reconnait-on pas les anciens au fait qu'ils regardent très peu l'image qui vient d'être prise sur l'écran de contrôle, et qu'ils utilisent exclusivement le viseur oculaire ?

Pour finir cette courte bio qui reste muette sur ma vie professionnelle (la photo est une passion), sachez que j'habite le Sud Ouest, dans l'agglomération de Bayonne - Biarritz, si près de l'Espagne.

Born in 1957! It was a Thursday, at the time the day of the middle of the week without school …

My photographic start begins when 11 years old, with argentic (obviously) various cameras: Minox, as in spy movies (oh, this armament by closing and opening the whole apparatus ...) and Foca, all in manual mode with a light meter required. That helps to learn the exposure and depth of field rules. Then Fuji and Nikon, with the reign of the semi-automatics and automatics that I am not fond of. Aperture priority mostly, except for animals when speed is paramount. Or for special effects.

Then a great break, nearly 10 years without a single photo, except a disposable stuff from time to time.

Finally, the digitals ages (Minolta, Sony, Canon) and their wonders of post-production. But frankly, it is better to make efforts to shoot a good picture than to improve it on the computer.

Questions: do we not recognize the old-timers to the fact that they look very little at the photo that has just been shot on the cam-monitor, and that they use only the eyepiece ?

To finish this short biography, which is speechless on my professionnal life (photography is a hobby), you must know that I live in the South West of France, in the Bayonne – Biarritz agglomeration , so close to Spain.
